On the way to Izumi for a movie, driving through the country, the car broke down. Chotto Matte, says Eiko, and disappears for an hour and a half. Somewhere in the trees I could hear banjos starting to duel ... or shamisen. Mostly, I was just excited to get some new pics.

Funky Time Kiai

I went to Funky Time and played air hockey and Mario Kart. And I bought the soundtrack to Bad Bad Jimmy Ruckus. I found out that those flakey things you put on top of okonomiaki are actually dried and grated fish... I didn't really want to know that. Anyway, Michael may remember what I'm talking about. We thought it was dried onion and it dances on top of the dish when it's hot. Rather beautiful. I'll post a pic or two of something soon. It's been a while since I dumped photos onto the computer.
